Program Activities You Might Support
Learning Center
Supporting braille and print reading, basic maths, English practice, daily life skills, and classroom activities with students who have visual impairments.
Technology & Skills
Assisting with computer training, phone accessibility, orientation and mobility practice, or vocational activities such as baking or music.
Direct Assistance Program
Helping prepare information, materials, or simple logistics that support food packages and follow-up with families who receive assistance.
Research & Outreach
Supporting data entry, documentation, and materials that help our team reach people with visual impairments in the community.
Ways You Can Volunteer
Volunteering
Assist staff during activities, prepare learning materials, help with classroom support, or contribute to events at the Learning Center.
Skill-Based Volunteering
Share expertise in education, technology, communication, accessibility, administration, or media to strengthen DYP’s programs.
Short-Term Projects
Support translation, design, photography, documentation, or data entry depending on current needs and project timelines.
