Higher Education
Sponsorship contributes to shared housing, daily living, university transport, accessible study, and regular DYP follow-up during the project year.
After returning to an accessible learning environment and completing Grade 12, Sreynoy continued into higher education at Angkor University. Her progress reflects determination, patience and a strong belief in the value of learning.
Alongside her university studies, she continues developing assistive technology, orientation and mobility, communication, problem-solving and 21st-century skills that support study, employment preparation and daily independence.
During the Semi-Independent Living Project year, Sreynoy’s primary focus is her academic studies. She will also take greater responsibility for study planning, transport, budgeting, shared household duties and everyday decisions while remaining connected to regular DYP guidance and follow-up.
“I define independence as the complete ability to manage my daily life, earn an independent income, resolve problems and make my own decisions.”Sreynoy
Her current pathway combines higher education with accessible technology, mobility, communication, problem-solving and the everyday organisation needed to continue studying and prepare for employment.
Strengthening academic routines, self-directed study, assignment planning and the discipline needed to progress through university.
Using accessible digital tools to study, organise information, communicate and complete university work more independently.
Developing communication, collaboration, problem-solving and planning skills for university, future employment and community participation.
Practising safe travel, time management, budgeting, shared household responsibilities and confident everyday decision-making.
Sreynoy is passionate about languages and education. She hopes to become an English teacher and a professional English–Khmer translator, helping others communicate and access learning opportunities while building an independent life.
